Meeting with the Ministry of Justice

On May 7, 2021, Cerasela Bănică, President of CADO and Coordinator of the Network of Organizations Against Trafficking in Persons (ROiTP) participated in the working meeting organized by the Ministry of Justice with the participation of civil society representatives regarding the debate on the Laws of Justice.

Within the framework of the meeting, the ECHR has made a number of recommendations relating to the protection of victims of crimes of a sexual nature, and to the victims of trafficking in human beings, such as:

  • the amendment of the legal framework in order to increase the efficiency of the management of the cases in question, and the protection of the real and the concrete, of the victims in the criminal justice system
  • provision of training courses and have consistently bringing an effective fight against trafficking in human beings and crimes of a sexual nature against minors
  • the establishment of a police court the next CHANGE to the specialists in the sphere of economic-financial assistance for the completion of the investigation of the nature of the financial networks of organised crime, active in the field of trafficking in persons,
  • the establishment of offices for the children and the family, the active involvement of the Ministry of Justice in the implementation of the national strategies for the protection of victims of crime,
  • to ensure transparency and to facilitate access to the information to the public by the institutions of the justice sector, etc.
