ReAct - Reform and action for the protection of the rights of children, human trafficking victims in the criminal justice system

The project is carried out by the Advocacy and Human Rights Center (CADO) in partnership with the European Center for Legal Education and Research Association (ECLER) and the Bucovina Social Partnership Institute Association (BUCOVINA INSTITUTE).

Project duration: march 1, 2021 June 30, 2022

The ReAct project responds to the need to create an appropriate and friendly hearing environment in the justice system in which the rights of minors are respected and to put an end to the institutional practice that subjects victims to a long process of victimization. The main tool used is to increase the capacity of 10 NGOs in advocacy actions at the national and European level to change the legal framework of the hearing of minors, in order to increase the chances of success by increasing the number of allies and supporters with expertise in this field.

Also, the project will carry out a national survey on the analysis of the enforcement of the rights of the victims of the trafficking of minors in the criminal justice system, a campaign to raise awareness of the public about the situation of the minors as victims of human trafficking in the criminal justice system and has more than 2,000 children in the prevention of the trafficking of minors, as well as the training of 150 police officers, prosecutors, and judges at the hearing of minors, according to the european standards, and to ensure a user-friendly environment adapted to the child in the criminal justice system.

We work together for an inclusive Europe!
